Welcome to Yet Another SG-1 Fan Page!

I first discovered Stargate: SG-1 in August of 1997, after reading an article in TV Guide and watching out of curiosity. Two episodes, and I was hooked. When I went off to college at the end of the month, I had my parents tape all the episodes they could that I missed on Showtime. Although I only managed to see 10 out of the 14 episodes that aired my first semester, I remain addicted to the show. (As my college continues to avoid Showtime, I continue to miss episodes.) But I love the show, so I made this page, so enjoy.

Important page-related ramblings below!

March 13, 2005:

I should have fixed all the e-mail links on the site now so they point to the CORRECT e-mail address. That's all; I need to update the FAQ and pare down the page, but grad school's nuts, it's late, and I have to go to work tomorrow early. Sorry for the obsolete e-mail linkage.

September 9, 2004:

If you hadn't figured it out by now: this page is going to be shut down. Why? A couple of reasons:

  1. There are bigger and better resources out there.

It's been three years since I got out of college and plunged headlong into Real Life. Since then, episode transcripts are now a dime a dozen, thanks to the efforts of the SG-1 Transcripts community. I would have torn this page down months ago if not for some issues with credit - someone posted my "Children of the Gods" transcript without my name on it, and it circulated for years without my name as the transcriber. (I wouldn't have cared if I hadn't gotten so freaking anal about describing all the scenes and transitions for paragraphs on end.) So I've kept these up because they have their original date stamps on them. "Torment of Tantalus" I don't give a crap about since it was never finished, but I know copies of my transcripts of "Out of Mind," "1969," "The Broca Divide" and "Children of the Gods" are floating around uncredited and/or miscredited. (No one took "Into the Fire" as far as I know. Huh.)

  2. Fate is conspiring against me.

Last Christmas, I got the first three seasons of Stargate on DVD and was prepared to buy the rest. This February, someone broke into my apartment and stole my TV, VCR, my DVD player and all my DVDs - including the Stargate eps. That loss pretty much killed any enthusiasm I would have otherwise had for finishing new transcripts. Between that, graduate school, and other expenses this year, I really can't afford to go and buy out all the box sets. (Not yet, anyway.)

  3. I don't have as much free time as I used to.

Let's face it; I work a full-time job, do art commissions on the side, and am starting my first semester of graduate school. The backlog of things I've been wanting to do with my website has been piling up. Heck, I should be working on my lecture exercises right now!

  4. I'm not the fan I used to be.

When I started this site in 1998, I was a huge fan of Stargate, going bonkers reminding my folks to tape episodes for me. Six years later, I still love the show, but... it's not going to kill me any more if I miss an episode. And I still have to catch up on a huge chunk of Season Five I missed out on my first year out of college. You can put the pitchforks down - I haven't given up on Stargate. I just don't see the point of being redundant. What good is a transcript site if there's already tons more out there? Not much.

So here's what's going to happen: The site is staying up, but there will be no more updates (except to the major links). The transcript page will (obviously) be pared down - no point in keeping that menu up for four lousy transcripts - but the content will still be there, just for credit purposes. The FAQ will be altered, but it's no less important. I'm also keeping the meager sounds I have up just because I know there are people that have liked them.

To those of you who visited this site and encouraged me, thank you. I really appreciate the nice comments. And the lone flamer - thank you for the laugh, and I hope you took my advice and got some help.

SG-1 Sound Clips
No new sounds... but there aren't going to be any more due to space constraints. Fixed broken links.

SG-1 Episode Transcripts
Will be pared down later.
